Yeah, I know I haven’t been updating my blarg regularly, work and life have caught up, and I’ve been extremely busy, and I just haven’t had the “inspiration”, or maybe the desire to actually sit down and write. That doesn’t mean my blarg is a joke…
Last night I went to Steve Miller and the Why Store concert at Deer Creek, what a good show… Jaymie’s mom won the tickets off the local radio station, and let me go.
Today, JB plays at Riverbend, and I’ll be sitting out on the lawn for that as well. I always look forward to the Cincy show, as that’s the home of the “Parrothead” attitude at the shows.
More news: JB’s website got quite the face lift, with some nifty flash animation. It’s worth a look here.
Must go get some coffee before I have to leave in an hour. Maybe I’ll get out of this writing funk some time soon…

No, it was not a vanity thing, my domain registrar threw this in my shopping cart, and it was paid for before I realized it. I figured if I now own the domain, I should probably use it. So, please take a minute and update your bookmarks to the new domain name.

Also, very shortly, I guess I’ll have email at: tj@tjtryon.com I’ll let you know when I actually get off my duff and have that set up…
In the mean time, if you find something that is not working correctly, please let me know. Send me an email to: tjt@insightbb.com

Been awhile since I had some good pirate commentary. Well, guess what, it may still be awhile….
In the meantime, here’s a poem about the great pirate “Long” John Silver, from Treasure Island, who was the character that started the stereotypes of a pirate parrot and also “peg legs”…
A Ballad of John Silver
We were schooner rigged and rakish, with a long and lissome hull,
And we flew the pretty colors of the cross bones and the skull;
We’d a big black Jolly Roger flapping grimly at the fore,
And we sailed the Spanish waters in the happy days of yore.
We’d a long brass gun amidships, like a well-conducted ship,
We had each a brace of pistols and a cutlass at the hip;
It’s a point which tells against us, and a fact to be deplored,
But wew chased the goodly merchantmen and laid their ships aboard.
Then the dead men fouled the scuppers and the wounded filled the chains,
And the paint-work was all spatter-dashed with other people’s brains.
She was boarded, she was looted, she was scuttled till she sank,
And the pale survivors left us by the medium of the plank.
O! then it was (while standing by the taffrail on the poop)
We could hear the drowning folk lament the absent chicken coop;
Then, having washed the blood away, we’d little else to do
Than to dance a quiet hornpipe as the old salts taught us to.
O! the fiddle on the fo’c’s’le and the slapping naked soles,
And the genial “Down the middle, Jake, and curtsy when she rolls!”
With the silver seas around us and the pale moon overhead,
And the lookout not a-looking and his pipe bowl glowing red.
Ah! the pig-tailed quidding pirates and the pretty pranks we played,
All have since been put a stop to by the naughty Board of Trade;
The schooners and the merry crews are laid away to rest,
A little south the sunset in the Islands of the Blest.

Contrary to popular belief, chiropractors do float…
We’ve been working on Rich’s (AKA Chiroman) website for his practice, and it’s starting to look like a complete site now. Stop on by and check it out here.

I really have no excuse anymore to be lazy. I have a brand new Dell Axim x50v, and a Motorola E815 cell phone. Both support bluetooth, and unlike my old v710, the E815 supports OBEX bluetooth, which will allow me to take a picture with the phone camera, transfer it to the Axim. Once I do that, the Axim can use the cell as a modem over bluetooth to connect into the internet.
Also, with the mass of wide open wireless access points, there is not many places in which I can’t get online…
Sad, I know.

Yeah, I know, I’ve been lazy about updating the blog as of late. Things have been really busy, and I have not had much time to report back on all the fun.
Lets see…
Tuesday was the grand opening of the new “Cheeseburger in Paradise” in Fishers. You can bet a load of bilge water I was there. We had a great group of people stream in and out, and we even made the local newspaper. They opened at 4PM, and I was “in line” at 3:30. We got a large table for 8, the first Margarita publicly sold, and stayed through about 11PM. The entertainment was fantastic (more on this later), food was good, and the drinks were flowing… There was no appearance from JB himself, though about 7PM a Grumman “Goose” HU-16 Albatross flew overhead, circled the building and headed for the 96th Street Airport.
I know when I saw that, I was hoping he was going to show for an appearance (after all, you don’t see many sea planes in Indiana…).
Yeah, I know, pipe dreams… But it has been known to happen before. It sure was fun waiting though… Did I mention the drinks were flowing?
